IFRI research is frequently policy-relevant, and findings from IFRI projects have been disseminated to government agencies, NGOs and community groups in many countries where IFRI works.

Additionally, IFRI researchers have been invited to act as consultants to organizations such as the World Bank and the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR).
