Christoph is a postdoctoral scholar at Standford University. The goal of his research is to generate empirically validated findings that help donors and implementers improve the performance of forest conservation projects. Currently, he is focusing on the interactions and effectiveness of public and private interventions to reduce cattle and soy-driven deforestation in the Amazon, Cerrado, and Chaco ecoregions.

At Stanford, he is affiliated with the lab of land use change scientist Eric Lambin in the School of Earth, Energy, and Environmental Sciences. He also continue collaborations with my PhD advisor Arun Agrawal at the International Forestry Resources and Institutions (IFRI) network at the University of Michigan.
