...exploring how people shape the world's forests

Laura Vang Rasmussen

Laura Vang Rasmussen joined IFRI in February 2015 as a postdoctoral research fellow. She has a PhD in geography from University of Copenhagen, and her research interests lie at the interface of human and environmental systems – mainly on issues related to land use change, its causes and the effects on ecosystems and rural livelihoods. She works primarily in agricultural areas in developing countries, mainly in West Africa and Southeast Asia. As a postdoctoral fellow with IFRI, she will conduct research with a DFID-funded project to evaluate the impacts of forest investments in five different countries.
