November 16th: Global Landscapes Forum, COP19

IFRI researchers are co-organizing a Technical and Networking Session as part of the CGIAR’s Global Landscapes Forum, on the sidelines of the UN climate change conference COP19 in Warsaw, on November 16th. Organized in conjunction with The Forests Dialogue, the session will explore the theme ofManaging landscapes for food, fuel, fiber and forests: innovative outlooks in a time of food insecurity and climate change, through a combination of research presentations and discussion. In particular, there will be a focus on the research conducted as part of the ‘Governance of Forest and Agricultural Landscapes‘ project, and a detailed discussion of a new CCAFS Working Paper authored by Helena Nery Alves-Pinto, Peter Newton, and Luis Fernando Guedes Pinto on ‘Certifying sustainability: opportunities and challenges for the cattle supply chain in Brazil’.
