Interventions for Achieving Sustainability in Tropical Forest and Agricultural Landscapes
Researchers at IFRI and CCAFS have developed a framework for analyzing interventions that aim to improve the sustainability of commodity supply chains. Governments, NGOs, and private sector companies globally are experimenting with innovative policies, incentive mechanisms, and technologies that might lessen the environmental impact of agricultural products such as cattle, soy and palm oil – particularly in relation to deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions. The new research paper synthesizes many of these interventions using a common perspective, which may increase the likelihood of lesson-learning between different countries and commodities.
