Food and Forest Conference Online

The Yale University Chapter of the International Society of Tropical Foresters (ISTF) is hosting its annual conference titled “Food and Forests: Cultivating Resilient Landscapes” from January 24 – 26, 2013.

The conference will available as a live, online broadcast so that international researchers and practitioners can view the event in real-time and add their thoughts and questions. ISTF welcomes individuals and organizations to join the conference from across the globe to better understand the interactions between forests and agricultural systems in the tropics.

The conference will include a keynote address by Frances Seymour, former director general of CIFOR, as well as the following panel discussions:

  • Beyond Yields: Food Security & Resilience
  • Reconciling Interests at the Landscape Scale
  • Large-scale Governance and Small-Scale Farming
